Hello
Oh hi there, thank you for stopping by - I am truly honored and touched you thought of me stepping in to support you and your family. I live in St. Paul, Minnesota with my Packer-loving husband Thomas, lazy golden-doodle Gary, and rambunctious poodle, Gus (yes you better believe he rocks a poodle cut). I am a marketing-nerd during the week and spend my weekends snuggling newborns, making lactation cookies, and spending time with all you beautiful people. Outside of work you'll find me out walking the 10,000 lakes, trying out a local coffee shop, or at a yoga class.

Read below to dive into my passion of postpartum doula support and how I got here.

My Story
Who else started college thinking they were going to be a doctor? Yep - me too. Then I took biology, chemistry and labs and realized that maybe this wasn't for me. While I was bummed I would no longer be a pediatrician, I was determined to be in a career where I helped people, and was connected to health care.

Fast forward to the board room at the hospital. We were discussing a redesign of our new birth center. The excitement and joy fizzled when I looked around the room and saw elderly white male leaders were making the decisions for the birth center (suite design, postpartum meals, policies & procedures) where most people giving birth were not white people - oof. A fire was lit under me and I started becoming ultra-aware of the disparities in our world.
Like any younger sister, I followed in my big-sis's steps and got my Masters of Public Health in Maternal & Child Health from the University of Minnesota. This program not only connected me with amazing humans, it gave me the skillset of ensuring all people are supported, especially in pregnancy, labor and postpartum.

While I have always been fascinated with infants (including constant babysitting infants, and working at a daycare in the infant room) I'm beyond excited to launch my postpartum doula services. My philosophy is to support parents and baby with where they are and offer holistic care to bring the best outcomes for birthing parent and baby. It doesn't necessarily take a village, it takes people that will support, love and nurture you and baby. I will listen to your needs, be a shoulder to cry on, celebrate the littlest wins (yep a dirty diaper counts!), and offer evidence-based information to guide you in your journey.

The best part of postpartum care - it is fully customized to what you need. Cheers to this new chapter, you're doing it and I'm here to cheer you on (and give you the chance to sleep through the night, you deserve it).
